How do you make a movie about electronic Legos? They did make a Lego movie, but they relied heavily upon other properties that Minecraft doesn't have.

They made a movie about fucking Battleship, a game of reading coordinates off a 2-D plane and responding "hit" or "miss" until one side blacks out from sheer boredom. Minecraft has some Jumanji potential.Leisher wrote:Starring Steve Carell?

If they go ahead an just use it as a setting for a good story it could work. Seedlings did that and it was pretty good (well, the first season was; the second less so). But it will still require someone to write a good screenplay, which is a methodology almost never used for these sorts of projects.
