The ReZort

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Article with trailer.

I have heard good things about this film elsewhere.

Hooray for Netflix!

Exactly what the article I posted previously describes it as: "Jurassic Park with zombies".

Basically, World War Z has happened and we won. The remaining zombies are all located on one remote island that you can pay to visit and hunt them. The story follows a small group of people on their trip to the island. Each is going there for a reason that gets covered in the film. As you expect, shit goes south.

There's a LOT to like about this film. The concept makes sense and you could see such a thing existing in our world. There are nods to the original Night of the Walking Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and other zombie films that are very subtle and well done.

However, the writing is amateur hour. It sticks to horror cliches in a lot of places, which is fine, but to make things work it'll sometimes shove square pegs into round holes. You're going to get the cliches that you expect: coward, evil corporation, betrayal, dumb people doing dumb things, non-existent security measures, the "there's only one reason that would be there" plot device, etc.

If you're a zombie fan it's worth a watch, but everyone else can skip it.
