Potato chips w/ketchup

Post by GORDON »

Like it?

I've been dipping my chips in ketchup since I was wee... but only plain potato chips, ruffled or flat. My wife thinks it's weird.

Not often but sometimes. But generally whenever I see the Ketchup Lays or All-Dressed Ruffles at the store I just get that instead. The flavor is already in there.

Seconded. I don't use it on anything. I have no desire to slather what I'm eating in shitty, salty, vinegary tomato paste substitute. Fuck mayo as well.

Mmmmmm, salty, vinegary tomato paste.

I like vinegar on hand cut fries, too.

My father's side of the family puts ketchup on everything. And I do mean everything. I remember breakfasts at my uncle's place, where they'd have eggs, bacon, and pancakes. No syrup, because all of that they put ketchup on.

That's too much. I like a bit of ketchup on most fried foods. But not on eggs and certainly not on pancakes.

Agreed. I'd eat them dry, first.

Vinegar is good for you, and my grandfather assured me it puts lead in your pencil.

I can stand it, but usually only as salad dressing.

You have fun with your pencil.

Malt vinegar on fries and fish. Yum a dum dum.

If it were just salty and vinegary I'd like it plenty. Most store ketchup is sickeningly sweet, like tomato cake frosting.
Fuck mayo as well.

I am strange even amongst my kin. I put crushed red papper and tobasco on near anything non-breakfast that I eat.

I put tabasco on nearly everything breakfast that I eat, but never non-breakfast stuff.

Tabasco and soylent do not mix well. If I'm at the bloody mary bar at the pub on the weekends during the mornings (which is rare), I'll use it.

Ah. I might soylent for lunch or dinner (or more likely a mid-afternoon combined replacement for both), but I could never soylent for breakfast. That's the meal I love the most.

I got a surplus of it to go through, so that's 2/3rds of my diet at the moment. Been fucking around with additives, found a recipe I like based off shit lying around in my cabinets:

2 scoops soylent
1 Tbsp honey
handful of hemp seeds
100 - 150mg caffeine
1/6th scoop of protein powder for some flavour

... and shouldn't this go in the other forum?
