The U of Chicago isn't run by common sense. In the recent history, they've:
1) been investigated by the feds for slacking off on sexual assault investigations
2) had increases in spending that make the feds look frugal
3) dumbed down their curriculum

UofChicago has a world renown conservative (market-driven) school of Economics. At least they're not caving here.
