Synopsis:
Tom Savini-helmed remake of the classic, rewritten by George himself.
Review:
Remember when Vince Vaughn and Anne Heche remade Psycho almost shot-for-shot and no one liked it?
In his defense, Tom says the producers royally fucked with his vision and more than couple cuts had to be made to avoid the dreaded NC-17 rating.
Changes from the original:
1) Barbara has been redone extensively. She's no longer catatonic halfway through.
2) The farmhouse is occupied before anyone gets there.
3) Harry Cooper is even more of a dick.
4) The characters are even dimmer.
5) The last five minutes are significantly different.
Verdict:
Why the fuck do they remake classics?
