Amiga had graphics that were beating out PCs until the mid to late 90s. Still blows my mind.

My first real computer gaming was on a C64.

C64 as well, loved it. Amiga never really did it for me. A friend had one, but it didn't have many games, or something.

I am on record proclaiming my undying love for Autoduel, the original Bard's Tale trilogy, and M.U.L.E.

C64 forever!

Didn't have Autoduel, so I'll have to say, Bard's Tale, MULE, and Pirates!

My teenage gaming was the C64, with two full shoe boxes of pirated floppies. I also will represent.

Although my first computer gaming was much earlier on the Tandy Color Computer, CC2, the Model-100, and some sort of Tandy desktop PC clone I can't seem to identify with Google. I also spent some time back then gaming on some IBM desktops and a couple of mainframe systems at the Los Alamos National Labs.

But the C64 will always be my favorite classic gaming computer, especially M.U.L.E., Pirates!, Defender of the Crown, Elite, and Impossible Mission.

Pirates! ... shit, I think I got to the point where I couldn't lose at fencing, no matter how badly outmanned I was. Problem was that if you were outnumbered enough, you couldn't win. Let's see ... what other big C64 games did I hit up regularly?

Airborne Ranger
Hardball
Microleague Baseball
SSI Gold Box
Wasteland
Neuromancer
Bard's Tale
Paper Boy
Summer Games I & II
Impossible Mission I & II

The list goes on.

I loved Defender of the Crown and Elite. Elite would replace MULE for me in a top 3.

Describe DotC... I may have had that. Map of England, take over areas, siege castles, save princesses?

Oh yeah, jousting.

I remember there was one territory on the map... worth a lot of... points? Capture that right out, and you win the game.
