Never heard much about this film, so I expected it to suck. I was surprised that, while not a good movie, it didn't completely suck.
Ben Stiller works as the manager of a tower where the ultra rich live. Stuff happens and he has to rob the tower, so he recruits Eddie Murphy, Casey Affleck, Michael Pena, that chick from Precious, and Matthew Broderick.
There's not really a lot of laughs, and there's a, not so subtle, social message in the plot, but I was entertained just enough to not punch my TV. The social message is pretty hilarious because the movie also seems to condone adultery and shoplifting. Not to mention the heist itself.
Some notes:
-I have no idea why Broderick is in the film as his character doesn't really do anything.
-Eddie Murphy looks terrible.
-Stiller's character is pretty believable.
-Kate Upton is hot as fuck.
Do not seek out this film, but if you get it for free on a night you want to watch something light, it's fine. And if you never see it, you shouldn't care.
