Room

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Room

Post by Leisher »

A drama starring Brie Larson as a mother stuck with her 5 year old child, Jack, in a room.

Why are they there? I don't think it's a massive secret, but I'll give you a Law & Order promo line: "Ripped from the headlines".

Anyway, the whole movie is about these two and their reactions to everything that goes on during the time covered in the film. Sounds crazy dull right? It is, but it isn't.

I think if you are devoid of human emotion, Malcolm, then it's a must skip, but for regular humans it'll connect on some level. Not that you'll get teary or anything, but you'll become vested in the characters despite the fact that the majority of the film is dialogue.

What carries the film is the acting. Brie is great, but Jacob Tremblay, Jack, fucking KILLS it. I'm not kidding when I say he probably should have won Best Actor or Best Supporting Actor. Seriously, not a joke.

There is 100% character piece, so if you get bored easily, skip it. If you can handle a talkie, give it a look.

I think if you are devoid of human emotion, Malcolm...
Hatred, bitterness, and anger are emotions.
