The jokes almost write themselves.
This would all be hilarious if it wasn't so true.

I honestly think these stories are an excuse to bash a candidate without bashing him/her.

If Hillary used "Cat Scratch Fever" and Ted Nugent bitched about it, I have a feeling that we'd hear a lot less about it than an irrelevant 90s rapper who doesn't want Trump using "Jump Around".

I'm on record as saying every dog in this race is a massive turd and I think the U.S. loses no matter what, but that doesn't mean I stop seeing the bullshit that goes on during the campaign, and the "music act wants candidate to stop using music" is a massive pile of shit.

Sure, but that pile of shit is not bigger than the "candidate uses music without permission because they don't think laws apply to them" pule of shit.

Everlast goes to great lengths to bash Trump personally. I can't find anyone except desperate Republicans hardliners that are trying to hate on Trump without doing it explicitly and directly.

If Hillary used "Cat Scratch Fever" and Ted Nugent bitched about it...

Right. That's as likely as Cruz breaking out some Culture Club songs during his appearances.

To be fair, I don't think any of the candidates pick the music, nor do I think any of the candidates actually believe laws apply to them.

I can't find anyone except desperate Republicans hardliners that are trying to hate on Trump without doing it explicitly and directly.

Oh please. That's all the MSM does towards Republicans. That was proven time and time again during Obama's campaigns as non-partisan media watchdogs would run numbers showing negative articles about Obama were far less numerous than negative articles about his opponents.

I give less than a fuck about some famous musician's politics. If you're truly having your vote swayed because Debbie Gibson leans right, then you should not be voting.

This isn't about Everlast's politics. It's about Trump not paying to use his shit or gaining permission to do so.

That seems to be quite direct bashing. They name names and places.

If you're truly having your vote swayed because Debbie Gibson leans right, then you should not be voting.

But having it swayed by the leader of your local Sierra Group or NRA chapter is cool...

Wrong. It's about Trump's campaign managers not securing the music and I would bet you anything that Dems do the same shit, yet don't get nailed for it because it's not seen as "evil" to let them use your songs.

That seems to be quite direct bashing. They name names and places.

I don't get what you're saying here. Are you agreeing? Are you saying it's ok that the MSM is biased because they don't disguise it? Because you'd be wrong on both points.

There's a reason Republican is a bad word. There's a reason FOX News has a bad reputation. It's not all because of their mistakes or policies, but also because of a very well run smear campaign.

But having it swayed by the leader of your local Sierra Group or NRA chapter is cool...

Who brought those up? Although, those groups have to buy commercial time, which is a LOT different than getting space during a show and disguising their political agenda as news.

Why start now?

The artists can do whatever the fuck they want with their songs. If they want to give it away for free, they can. If they want to be dicks, they can stick it to you as the letter of the law allows ... that's Trump's default attitude towards pretty much anyone. I can't count the number of people he's sued in his time.

Like voting the way your favourite musician does is so much worse than your favourite PAC talking head.

Leisher's right, and only one side gets nitpicked that way.

As we've been over before, and as others on this board have pointed out, the Repubs have no one but themselves to blame for their shitty, shitty PR.

Pachyderms still trying to find an alternative to the Dumpy Don.
Speaking to thousands in western New York, Trump argued anew that the person who wins the most votes in the primary process should be the GOP nominee.

"What they're trying to do is subvert the movement with crooked shenanigans," Trump said.
...
Despite the complaints, Cruz came out ahead in Colorado after dedicating resources to the convention process and putting in personal face time on the day of the final vote, something Trump did not do. On Twitter, the Colorado GOP retweeted a message, saying: “You may not like CO's caucus system, but it's representative, and claiming delegates were 'stolen' insults the Republicans who participated.”

Cruz spokeswoman Catherine Frazier also retweeted a message saying the rules “were publicly available for months to people who know how to read and understand words.”

Trump says he knows more about interrogation techniques than the CIA director.
“And you know we’re playing on different fields,’ he continued. “And we have a huge problem with ISIS, which we can’t beat, and the reason we can’t beat them is we won’t use strong tactics, whether it’s this or other things.”

You have to be shitting me.

Just like in CO, Trump didn't go to WY or have any sort of organization there and didn't get any delegates. Now he's crying again. I think we need to go back to the tape. He said we'd get tired of his winning. Starting to think he may have said "whining".

It occurs to me that Trump:

1) can't even understand the basics of the pachyderm nomination process and
2) his response to his own ignorance is publicly bitching about how "unfair" said process is.

#1 pales in comparison to what major international geopolitical incidents require. #2 is what I expect from some whiny bitch running for prom queen.

Granted, we had the same bitching from the other side when a certain president won the electoral college but lost the popular vote.

Also just six months ago Trump was bragging in a debate when questioned about his bankruptcies with 4 of his businesses that he simply took advantage of the existing rules and used the rules that exist to his advantage and he's very good at that and makes the best deals. But mostly he's just lying. 4 years ago in his twitter feed he was trashing Santorum because he had no delegate ground game and was getting trounced by Romney. So he's pretending not to know how the game is played.

Dumb-ass Don Drumpf on Harriet Tubman.
"Well, Andrew Jackson had a great history, and I think it's very rough when you take somebody off the bill,"
Eat a dick. Harriet Tubman had bigger balls than Trump ever will. She's at least as decent a choice as Jackson. If fucking Ben Franklin gets on the $100 for whoring around Europe, then Harriet can have the $20 for personally escorting escaping slaves through the UR.

I read an article, that I won't link cuz it's retarded, basically saying that putting Tubman on the bill is an affront to her legacy as she dedicated her life to destroying the salve labor upon which American capitalism was created.

I just can't believe people like that exist.

Whore to begin begging for money and sucking cocks.
"I'm not going to take any money," Trump said last month when asked at news conference if he'd continue to self-finance beyond the primary race.
But now, that core promise of his campaign—that he would repel the influence peddlers by refusing their contributions—is put at risk after Trump, on his first day as the party's presumptive nominee, announced that he will start soliciting donations to fund his general election campaign.

And so begins the turn from "outside the beltway candidate who is shaking things up" to "corrupt politician eager to trade political favors for cash". It's earlier than I expected.
