Eh ... it's not quite the same. I don't see that style working for Gettysburg, the Battle of the Bulge, Bosworth Field, etc. I think it only works for something far enough past some unknown critical era in the past.
the Revolutionary War version, and we talked about the Alamo, and we’ve talked about there’s a battle in China, a “Lost Legion” kind of concept...

2) Same problem. Besides, there've been enough fucking Alamo movies. Don't try to out-John Wayne John Wayne.

3) China -- yeah, we need an Americanized version of "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms." That'll go over well.

4) Lost legion? So, going all the way from Greece to Rome?
