I was thinking about this yesterday and I think there's a much bigger lesson or observation to be made about this case.
Erin fought her ass off for years against a guy who was stalking her and took nude videos of her without her knowledge in a place where she had a very reasonable expectation of privacy. She has been professionally diagnosed as having trauma from the entire experience. She's got a job appearing in front of millions of people on a weekly basis and having the thought of those people seeing you naked probably did weigh on her.
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian is posting nude selfies of herself on Instagram.
What's the lesson? I don't know.
Is Erin "right" and Kim "wrong"? I'm sure some would say "yes", but I wouldn't.
I just think there's an interesting contrast there. One of these people has tried to establish themselves as a serious sports journalist and has provided the public with almost zero details about her personal life. The other has made every part of her life as public as possible to gain fame and fortune.
One has been devastated by nude pictures. The other personally posts them on random weekdays.
I'm not judging either, I just find the difference interesting.
