"We can't have a guy who stands in the middle of the Senate floor and every other senator thinks he's a whack job." Trump said Monday.
He is, of course, referring to Ted "Master Debater" Cruz.

He says he doesn't like some of the press releases they've put out about it and doesn't like Megyn Kelly.
Fox responds by throwing a flashback on their main page of Trump bashing candidates who skip debates and praising Megyn Kelly.
Are we living a Hollywood parody of elections?

Yes according to that article. They're saying he essentially "froze" the polls, which has him leading, for Iowa.

The way he deals with talking to people he doesn't like is to take his fake hair and go home? Sounds presidential to me. Fortunately, he's running to get the nomination of a party that's more lost than The X-Files without Duchovny.

I tend to agree that if the game they want you to play is rigged and you can't win, might as well not play it at all and try to create a different game.

He's not creating jackshit. He's throwing a hissy fit because the moderator won't give him verbal handjobs and softballs like he's the second coming of political jeebus.

Which is bullshit when other people get the softballs and hand jobs.

I hope he doesn't expect international politics to be fair.

I don't know what was up with his spat with Megan Kelly. The other candidates didn't get softball questions (not all of them), they just got questions they were prepared for. Trump has a history of saying things that are pretty vindictive and ugly. Not a big deal for a reality TV guy from the rough and tumble world of high stakes real estate, but maybe not great for the temperament in a President. His reaction to that shows me he's not even prepared to debate, much less lead the nation. From what I can see, Donald Duck surrounds himself with sycophants that are too afraid to tell him ugly truths. You can't prepare for a debate with people like that.
People keep comparing this to how international politics won't be fair. I won't even go that far. This is nothing compared to what you're going to see when he's facing the Democrat in the general. The press has been keeping their powder dry on Donald. Sure, they report all the stupid stuff he says, but if he gets the nomination they're about to unleash a lot of in depth stories (peaking around September I'd guess) of all the nasty stuff he's done. Every 4 to 8 years the press actually practices investigative journalism, at least on the Republican candidate.
Reagan didn't show up for the last debate in Iowa in '80 because he was so far ahead there, and he ended up losing the state in the primary.
The dust up between Donal Duck and Megan Kelly started after the first debate for a while, but went dormant until about a week before this debate. The issue resurfacing coincides about when people started to question the polls they've been publishing in Iowa. The polls are using a model that have the caucus turnout at about 200% of any in Iowa history. So earlier this week people started asking, "Are these polling models broken?"
I wonder if Trump's campaigns internal polls were showing him losing and he brought this issue back up and ditched the debate to give himself a face saving out?

"Ted Cruz didn't win Iowa, he stole it," Trump tweeted Wednesday morning in the opening salvo of a series of tweets eviscerating Cruz.
The impetus for Trump's fraud accusation appeared to be an erroneous claim from Cruz's campaign Monday night during the caucuses that Ben Carson was poised to drop out of the race. Cruz later apologized for spreading the incorrect information.
But Trump didn't stop there as he leveled other claims against Cruz, including that the Texas senator falsely suggested he supported Obamacare.
He concluded by calling for a redo of the caucuses or for Cruz's win to be ruled invalid.
Yeah, this is a dude ready to run a country.

Trump: when I'm in power, we're going to torture the everloving shit out of people.
Not only does Trump support the return of waterboarding in the interview with Stephanopoulos, but he seems to suggest that he'd be in favor of a lot more harsh interrogation tactics than that. That's an echo of a sentiment Trump expressed during the conversation about waterboarding during Saturday's debate. "I would bring back waterboarding and I'd bring back a hell of a lot worse than waterboarding," Trump promised.
Trump leaves open the possibility of beheadings -- or at least the specter of the possibility -- in the interview with Stephanopoulos, a pose broadly in keeping with his general foreign policy view that might makes right or that, at the very least, you have to be willing to do anything to anyone to ensure they don't mess with you. You may not actually have to do it. But you have to make sure the enemy knows you are willing to do it.

If you want information that's stupid. Torture doesn't get you more reliable information, it gets you people telling you anything and everything and making up what they think you want to hear because they are desperate for you to stop.
Clearly this isn't about anything related to justice, rehabilitation, or reasonable punishment for crimes.
If Trump just wants to hurt people and doesn't care about guilt or innocence how is he any different from a wannabe suicide bomber?
