At 'Dem Flicks w\ Malcolm - Halloween III
For some reason (probably cos Michael Myers was convincingly taken care of in Halloween II), the producers & writers decided to try a story that didn't involve everyone's favourite supervillain. It's painfully obvious by now that John Carpenter is involved almost in name only. The acting in this film is simply pathetic. High school plays yield better performances. The script itself starts off interestingly enough, but about a third of the way thru, it just gets really conspiracy theory-X-Files. While that's not necessarily bad, the half-assed way the plot goes about it is. Toss in some horror elements that aren't nearly as frightening as my last tuition bill along w\ one of the most jaw-droppingly stupid "wtf??!!" twists in a flick in the last fifty years & the most poorly-executed climax in any horror flick ever & you've got something that should only be shown to the inmates of Gitmo Bay when trying to break their will to live.
