I don't know what or who Luke Cage is, but I will now be watching this upon release.

Yes, he was Dr. Who at one time.

Luke Cage is Powerman of Powerman and Iron Fist.

Basically, Luke was a drug dealing thug who got sent upstate and was then experimented on by the government or somebody. I think he volunteered? Anyway, due to the experiments, which were an attempt to recreate Captain America, he is basically invulnerable and super strong.

He's best friends with Iron Fist whose Netflix series is coming. He's also married to Jessica Jones whose Netflix series starts November 20th.

He'll be teaming up with them both and Daredevil, whose Netflix series is out and awesome, in the Netflix series or movie called The Defenders.
