Very much a character driven story about AI.
Rich guy invites other guy to his estate to meet the AI. Lots of talking later and the movie is over.
About 5-6 naked women and very solid performances and direction. Special effects are cool.
The film's logic breaks down under scrutiny, but it's an entertaining (maybe more interesting than entertaining) film. Worth viewing once.

There sure have been a lot of movies about AI, lately. I guess we know what the current zeitgeist is. In the 1950's it was giant nuclear bugs, in the 70's it was environmental collapse, in the 90's it was world-ending apocalypses, and in the 10's it's artificial intelligences.
Anyway, there are a couple small artsy-fartsy moments during which I was wondering if I was reading too much into it, but the symbolism I saw turned into foreshadowing for the end, so I guess it was kinda clever.
This movie also supports my thoughts about the difficulties of creating an AI that I wont go into now as to not be spoilery.

I feel that much more secure about the future. Pick any non-quantum AI you can think that might be developed in a century. The human brain still kills it on rudimentary levels unless you restrict shit to prohibitive domains like chess and Jeopardy!

But you never know what some random, wealthy, crazy genius may have developed in his remote cabin with the server farm and solar array, or what the government built after spending a billion dollars in some black project. It was my impression that the ending is what should have sparked discussion.

A) If the gov't developed real AI, they wouldn't be this incompetent and all their scandals would be hidden.
B) Mad scientist dude? Eh, maybe. If you find one with a real AI, let me know. I'd enjoy mentally demolishing it.
