Synopsis:
Wes Craven misfires badly on a remake of a Japanese movie, hoping to catch the same mojo The Ring did a few years earlier.
Review:
Starts out vaguely interesting until you think about it for two seconds. Some kid writes a virus and injects it into a frequency scanner. This somehow gives the dead the ability to break into the world of the living. You can protect yourself against them by ... I shit you not ... using red tape. Literal red tape. It is never, ever explained why or how. The ghosts can theoretically move at the speed of light, but conveniently slow down whenever the protagonists need to escape.
Verdict:
Yawn. Going to check the original to see if it's any better.
