From here. Gee, I wonder why...
"Recruitment and retention of qualified candidates remain a challenge for the FBI, as private sector entities are often able to offer higher salaries and typically have a less extensive background investigation process," the report said.
...
"The private sector reluctance to share information has been further affected by the distrust of government following the Edward Snowden leaks" about US surveillance programs, the report said.

1) You pay shit.
2) Your interview process tends to be shit.
3) No one trusts you because you've been exposed illegally spying on citizens.

Maybe the FBI shouldn't have acted like bitches for the last few decades.

I remember interviewing with the CIA and the FBI back in the day.

CIA: Have you ever done drugs?
Me: Yes.
CIA: But you quit? Right? (knowing look)
Me: Yes.
CIA: Alright, let's move on...

FBI: Have you ever done drugs?
Me: Yes
FBI: Goobye
It's not me, it's someone else.

My interview with the CIA went like this:

CIA: These test scores are impressive. But tell me, have you ever had contact with anyone from the former USSR or other communist countries?
Me: Yeah, my girlfriend is Cuban with a Green Card and is waiting for citizenship.
CIA: Goodbye.

That's one more question than I'd get, I think.

What's fucked is that the bitch ruined my life without even being within 1000 miles at me, at the time.

Well, I wouldn't say "ruined," but it certainly would have been different.

My interview with the FBI went a bit differently.

FBI: Please, as a sign of cooperation, release one of the hostages!
