If they really are this stupid, then their guideline should be that they have to turn the kid over to the police to charge the kid with threatening someone with a deadly weapon. If the police laugh at them, then the kid is not suspended and whatever it was is no longer treated as if it were a deadly weapon.

So if the rule is that a symbol of a gun is just as punishable as having a gun, then the word "gun" being a symbol of a gun should also be punished.
Principal Patricia Price warned her students several times that they are not permitted to make any gun jokes or gestures, and has sent home letters to parents, a district spokesman said.


Both the Principal and the district spokesman should be immediately fired for possessing a firearm on school property, because they used the word "gun".

Welllll............... THAT ohio school is run by idiots. I've been happy with the general decision making of my school, so far.

Headline should have read "District bullies teacher for bullying the bully that was bullying other students"
...she told the student he would lose recess time if he tried to defend himself.

I don't care for that particular, though. If she's basically holding a mock trial he should have had his chance to mount a defense.
