Anyone else been struck by the lack of relief being organized here in the US? Granted, Nepal isn't nearly as close as Haiti, but our reaction seems muted.

They're pretty far inland, yeah? Too lazy to verify. My point being that our Navy, which usually helps with things like this, may be unable to fly over certain countries in order to help.
Basically, I am not sure even I could point to Nepal on an unmarked globe, so I think it is just too abstract a thing for the average American to worry about.
Let China help. They're like right there and they want to play superpower.

Honestly, I have no idea what the efforts are like, or how well they are working. Nepal is not a super easy country to get to and, like Gordon said, land locked.
