Transformers copying Marvel

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

I'm calling it right here and now. Transformers is owned by Hasbro. GI Joe is owned by Hasbro. Paramount distributed both.

I'm pretty sure that's already been discussed here via an article suggesting talks have already happened. They've already met in comics.

And the '80s cartoons. The real question is when do we get to see Alien v. Predator v. GI Joe v. Transformers v. Terminator where everyone has to team up to beat the shit out of Unicron? Perhaps Transformers + Pacific Rim?

Transformers movies generally sucked, and the first GI Joe movie, the only one I saw, sucked. I see good things happening from putting them together.

You're saying they could get worse?

ROM was kind of awesome.

I collected those when I was a kid, although I never had any of the toys it was based upon. A ROM figure was featured on the first episode of Comic Book Men this season.

I have a vague memory of Micronauts.

I have no idea what Visionaries is about and I know the name M.A.S.K., but that's it. Is it a Jim Carry movie, some kind of robots, or a deformed kid?

Rom the Spaceknight? That's what that is? Well, shit.

M.A.S.K.? You don't remember that? Are you shitting me? I have some fond memories of that. Used to have a couple of the vehicles.

Looks like Visionaries is some late '80s cartoon put out right before Transformers and GI Joe ended.

Micronauts ... the only thing I know about them is they had better than average toys and the parts were almost 100% interchangeable, which is how Ed Boon got the idea to make the centaur-looking Motaro from Mortal Kombat.

After sifting through the duplicate Transformer threads around this mug...

Going against the Amazonian.
Fresh off the presses, Paramount/Viacom Inc. has officially slotted not just the next Transformers film but the next three Transformers films. For those marking their calendars, Michael Bay’s Transformers: Something Of The Something will be released on June 23, 2017. Michael Bay claims he will not direct the next two after that, but I’m sure there is some $50 million passion project Paramount can toss his way if need be. But no matter, Transformers And The Big Balloon Adventure will open June 28, 2019. What’s interesting is that the next two will be the first two to not open on or around the July 4th holiday, while the seventh one will take its preferred slot back. Oh, and that fifth Transformers film will be going up against Wonder Woman, which is… unfortunate.

If I were paranoid, I might presume that Paramount smells blood in the water in regards to the bankability of the whole DCEU franchise.

They can look up the shitty Dawn of Justice trailer like everyone else.
