DC Comics.

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Starting over.

All titles starting from #1 again. It'll be interesting to see if they dismiss 50+ years of continuity, if this is just a numbering gimmick, or if it's a temporary thing (DC and Marvel have both changed their entire lines for a year as a gimmick).

I read that it is a brand new start to bring everything up to 2011. So Superman would have landed on earth around 20 years ago. Same thing for when Batmans parents are killed. Then the stories are all new and begin from there.

I wonder if they are familiar with the term, "Diluting the brand."

If comics hadn't been retconned, rewritten, rebooted, and redone a billion times over, I'd agree. I'm of the opinion most characters get redone so that the next generation of writers/artists get to put their own slant in. And if you want to keep those superheroes as cultural icons, then they probably got to change with the culture.
