Another Half-Life 2 single player mod.

(For those curious, I was browsing Steam one evening checking on prices of games like QW:ET and I saw these free mods available so I grabbed them.)

This time, you're put in the boots of Adrian Sheppard. (Bonus points if you know who he is without looking it up.)

The G-Man wakes you up from stasis and sends you on a mission with no parameters given, which is really lazy story telling. In fact, just play this to kill shit because the story telling sucks throughout. At the end of the mod, which was very anti-climatic, I had no idea what I did or why or what happened to the item I thought I was delivering or why I was at the end despite not reaching my destination.

This mod only lasts about an hour and it's decent enough, but IMHO doesn't hold a candle to the other mods I played through recently. The game just doesn't seem as "polished".

One area that was terrible and completely destroys any sense of immersion was the voice acting. Props for trying, but damn was it bad. Bad bad. Super bad. From the laughable G-Man impression to the female scientist that you can barely hear to the terrible Breem impression none of them are even remotely good.

Still, there's good gameplay here, just not great. It only lasting an hour at most doesn't help either.

6 out of 10. (mod score)
