I found someone that built a stylesheet that displays your downloaded XML info in the same format the EVE website displays it. Which is kind of cool cause it's all pretty and stuff. No cut/paste'ability into Excell though. . . But, it's easy enough to do, and it doesn't require 10k in MS server app stuff to do it! :-)

So, if Gordon can create a private FTP directory that we can all have access to, we should be able to put our XML files into that directory and then just click on the file and have it displayed like it is on the EVE site.

So, how 'bout it Gordon?

Actually, XSL is exactly what I was doing with the upload thing. You upload the XML, it runs it through XML and spits out the HTML.

I could just use that XSL file instead.

Ya, but you require some goofy SQL and MS server app stuff. . . :-) This one just, displays! Post your email again. I'll email you the file I found.

Well, the SQL Server stuff is just so that we can do more advanced things than having things display. Like, uh... sort or something.

So do I not need to create a public ftp folder?

Well, you can if you want this immediately.

I'm constrained to doing things tomorrow at the earliest, and am out of pocket Sat/Sun.

Here's what I found. A private folder would keep prying eyes out.

Also, if people could browse the directory, they could click on the name of the person they want to scope out instead of us having to put links here. On the other hand, we'd only have to put one link here, then upload our individual files as will and it updates the link. . . so, I guess just making it password protected would help. Unless everyone agrees that just putting the info in an off-beat named directory would be safe enough.

This is the stylesheet

Taking a look at TG's skills, he's VERY PvP ready. Only things I saw missing were energy emissions and battlecruiser. Then he'd be able to run a ferox with good usable stuff. Oh, and about 26 million for a ferox. hehe

Here's a copy of the XSL that pulls the images from eve-online instead of localy: skills.xsl

I changed the folder name, killing that link. But, I emailed it too.
