The movie
For those who don't know, Namor is a Marvel comics character also known as the Submariner. Despite being created before Aquaman, he's not as popular.
Interestingly though, he's much better than Aquaman. You'd think that the ripoff would be better.
Anyway, Namor is a mutant (think X-Men) and rules Atlantis. What sets him apart from Aquaman is that he has super strength, can fly, doesn't talk to fish, isn't a pussy, and is generally an asshole.
He doesn't protect humans and was actually a bad guy for quite some time. He thinks humans to be an annoyance and believes his world and people are far superior.
He looks a lot like Spock. In fact, if Nimoy were still in his 30s or 40s, he'd be perfect for the role.
Could be good if they really play up his arrogance and don't make him a pussy like Aquaman.
