At 'Dem Flicks w\ Malcolm - The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Synopsis :

Three dudes in the Old West during the Civil War look for a cache of gold coins stolen from a robbery.

Review :

Goddamn, this HAS to rate as one of the finest man flicks ever made. The only significant female role is a whore who gets slapped around for a couple minutes before she gives up her man.

Clint Eastwood is fucking awesome. The most sympathetic of any of the characters, he bilks townsfolk out of cash in a scheme w\ a well-known crook. There's a bright, buzzing sign over his head saying, "Badass" the entire film. Lee Van Cleef plays an absolute bastard. There is no other way to describe him. Not a merc, not unprofessional, not stupid, just a total prick. Sergio Leone does something that many Hollywood folk today cannot. He tells a fucking story & directs it rather well. He doesn't fucking preach.

Verdict : 4.5 stars for being a bit overlong in a few places.

Arnold Judas Rimmer, BSC, SSC: "Better dead than smeg."

Couldn't agree more. One of the best films ever made.
