Apparently, I don't know what "hot" means in slang.
More than 57 films.
$111 million in box office receipts.
$67 million of that is one movie. A documentary.
That translates to "hot"?
It translates to me as "Please like the French again. Please."
"Happy slaves are the worst enemies of freedom." - Marie Von Ebner
"It was always the women, and above all the young ones, who were the most bigoted adherents of the Party, the swallowers of slogans, the amateur spies..." - Orwell

Especially with lines like this:
US audiences cannot get enough French films this year, industry watchers told AFP at the Toronto International Film Festival, where a handful of US distribution deals were signed.
I actually own a French-speaking DVD. Anyone want to guess?
Hint: Not porn.
"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
"Happy slaves are the worst enemies of freedom." - Marie Von Ebner
"It was always the women, and above all the young ones, who were the most bigoted adherents of the Party, the swallowers of slogans, the amateur spies..." - Orwell
I fucking hope it ain't Brotherhood of the Wolf or Le Pacte du Loup or whatever the fuck it's called.
Diogenes of Sinope: "It is not that I am mad, it is only that my head is different from yours."
Arnold Judas Rimmer, BSC, SSC: "Better dead than smeg."

Le Femme Nikita was a great film. Sure beat the fuck out of the American remake Point of No Return. Very gritty and the female lead looked good and could actually kick someone's ass in a convincing way.
And Leisher, since when has anyone liked the French?
