100 "best" movie quotes
AFI's list.
They didn't fuck this up as bad as their 100 best comedies list. Still, there are some things missing.

"Happy slaves are the worst enemies of freedom." - Marie Von Ebner
"It was always the women, and above all the young ones, who were the most bigoted adherents of the Party, the swallowers of slogans, the amateur spies..." - Orwell

Too much Casablanca and Wizard of Oz imo.... not that they shouldn't be on the list just not that many times. Titanic should have no place there. The lack of Ash makes this list crap, what about some lines from They Live, "I have come here to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and I'm all outta bubblegum."

This is a rather hit-&-miss list. Jerry fucking Maguire & Dirty Harry right next to each other? That should be a crime.
& what the hell was up w\ that quote from 2001? That is NOT the phrase I think of when I think of that flick.

Diogenes of Sinope: "It is not that I am mad, it is only that my head is different from yours."
Arnold Judas Rimmer, BSC, SSC: "Better dead than smeg."

And let's not forget the classic line, "When you're not turning tricks, you've got to play with your pussy." from New Wave Hookers 2.
How did that not make the top 100?

Most of the most memoriable quotes for me seem to come from 80's movies
- 'Don't let your dick run you life.' Mr. Rythm, DC Cab
- 'Awwwww Sexy girfriend!' Long Duc Dong, Sixteen Candles
- 'All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz and I'll be fine' Spickoli, Fast Time at Ridgemont High
and don't forget
'KAAAAAAAAAAHN!'
