Hometown movies

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

I was looking up movies, and found a place to search for movies by location.

Here's some of the stuff shot in my home town, a tiny suburb called La Cresecenta.

Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star was shot at my Jr. High, which doesn't make much sense to me because Clark Community Center (formerly Clark Jr. High) didn't have school and was physically similiar (same blueprints!) to Rosemont.

The list only seems to include big budget stuff, because there was a lot more shot there. ChiPs used to be in my area all the time, though that was TV.

Hmm...looks like Childen of the Corn 4 was taped all around my hometown. I know another movie was filmed there about a plane crash in my hometown, but maybe that was just a made for tv movie, now that I think about it.

Patch Adams and Bull Durham were about as big as it got here.

They filmed the all the Dawsons Creek epsidoes in Wilmington, NC.

I managed to see pretty much every member of the cast when going out to eat in the nicer downtown restaraunts on the waterfront.

Memphis has a LOT.

And it's not just big budget stuff...

"Dog Me: Potluck (2003)"

Steel Magnolias was set in, and partially filmed in, a town not far from where I grew up.
