Mr. 3000

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Bernie Mac stars as a ball player that gets 3000 hits and retires only to find out years later that 3 of those hits didn't count. He then returns to the game to get those hits and discovers what a jerk he is in the process.

This is a cute film and Bernie Mac is good, but its not really a good film.

This story has been done before and there's nothing new here. All the characters are shallow and have no real background or meaning.

The real problem is that the film doesn't seem to have a focus. Characters have potential, but are quickly forgotten. Too much of the film seems rushed. Its all so cliche.

I'd say it'd be good to watch with your family, but there's a lot of bad language.

There also isn't much in here about baseball, so fans of the game won't like it.

So that sort of leaves this in limbo without an audience, unless you're a Bernia Mac fan.

4 out of 10.
