Read about these games in a computer game mag, and they looked interesting enough that I might fire them up during my transitional phase between states when all of my games are boxed up.

Penumbra.

Penumbra uses our in-house develop 3D engine, featuring the latest graphics and physics technologies. Thanks to these technologies Penumbra is able to immerse players into it's world of horror, unlike anything seen before within the genre.

Dynamic shadows, normal mapping and specular effects creates a dark dynamic visual environment, creating a world of constant change. Motion blur, noise filters and bloom is used to create a world where sanity has no place.

Build a base and defend it from attack. Supposedly has good artistic quality, especially sound.

Space Cowboy Online

Space Cowboy Online is an action based Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) 3D Space Shooter. In Space Cowboy Online, players can pilot their own space fighter ships (Gears) on an imaginary planet and upgrade skills or the Gear itself.

This one looked to have the combat-fun that Eve didn't. Joystick would hopefully be needed.
