Halo 2
Not I.
I still have several unopened Xbox games I need to get through. Plus, I'll be on vacation in a couple weeks, and it'd kill me if I was most of the way through the game and couldn't finish it.
I expect to get it for Christmas, or I'll end up buying it in the Summer when it's cheaper.
I can't wait to play it though! If I do get it for Christmas, screw the other games. Halo 2 cuts to the head of the line.

I won't.
While I had a blast playing it in coop mode. I think Halo is the most overhyped game of all time.
I'll be playing Halo 2 for the coop, and hoping they figured out that an FPS shouldn't have a car race ending.

don't worry, it doesn't
Maybe not, but I've been hearing lots of bad things about the ending of Halo 2.
I've been playing it this weekend with a cousin as coop is the ONLY way (I mean that in a preference way) to play Halo and Halo 2.
So far, its a blast, but I think that's as much because its COOP as due to the game's design.

I agree, the game is just meant to be played coop. Me and my bro play it when we can I just wish you could play the coop campaign over live, I mean thats an obvious great use of it why was it not implemented. Plus the game is alot harder then the first one, or my console skills have degraded from non-use.
No Coop via Live? That IS stupid.
Coop is the best part of that game.
Speaking of Halo 2, per a conversation I had Monday night with a friend, I have come to the conclusion that most console game players are not that smart when it comes to the industry.
If I get a good response from Valve, I'll make this the subject of my front page post, not Steam.

Just finished it tonight.
Yet again, a terrible ending.
I'll discuss further in a spoilers chain.

Joo ppl should get teh Halo too 'cuz it is 50 1337 n d gaming werld!
Okay... 'nuff o' dat.
I've only played the PVP levels so far.
Halo 2 is a lot prettier than the original. Instead of stuff just blowing up, you can shoot pieces off, and watch parts fly and bounce around. You can also play as an alien Elite and hold a weapon in each hand (twice the shooting damage, but you're unable to lob grenades). Of yeah, and obviously you get new weapons. There are new marine weapons (M-16 type gun with a scope that shoots in bursts of 3, automatic handgun thingies, a better shotgun, etc.) and new alien weapons (a plasma sword that can kill with one swipe, sniper rifles, etc.). Oh, and now that I think about it, I don't remember receiving any damage for falling from a huge height. I guess Masterchief has better shocks.
Coagulation Canyon is basically a modified Blood Gulch. Imagine Blood Gulch with less dirt. This reveals two basement levels (one a banshee landing bay) in the red & blue bases, boulder formations in the no-man's land, different warp points, etc. I like Coagulation Canyon better than Blood Gulch.
Battle Creek fans will find Beaver Creek familiar as well. They're basically the same map, with a few added sniper nests and such. It's difficult to think of many changes other than a few new weapons and more cliff dwellings (with paths instead of just ladders).
I liked a level called Ivory Tower. I think they refer to it as a resort. It's basically a circle, with ramps and such around the perimeter.
I also liked Zanzibar. It's a base by the beach. It has a massive ring in the middle, with a slow-spinning windmill blades in it. You can ride these blades up. There's also plenty to destroy, and it's large enough to hide, but small enough that you don't have to go on a treck to find your hiding opponant.`
One of our favorite levels, and I forget the name, had a lot of conveyer belts that moved explosive boxes around. The barrels eventually drop off into oblivion way down below. The cool part about his level is the levetator which throws you way up to the top. You can use it to do some massive bouncing. We had a lot of laugh-out-loud moments with that thing.

I finally started playing in campaign mode. It's really similiar to the original Halo, but better in that it has more options. I especially like holding a weapon in each hand to overwhelm the enemy with superior firepower.
Playing as an Covenant Elite during part of the game is a neat concept. However, after killing every alien in site as MasterChief, I had difficulty distinguishing between the aliens on my side and the aliens in the opposition. As the Elite, I'm sure I killed a lot of my posse.
Playing with myself is nowhere near as fun as doing it with partners. This goes for the game as well. I've been spoiled with all the multi-player Halo'ing I've been doing, so doing the campaign in solo mode is sort of a letdown.
The reason I chose to stop where I did last night was because I became the alien Elite again and didn't want to deal with the hassle of who's on my side.
One disappointment I found is the ability to run and jump like hell and get past just about any fight (the original Halo allowed this as well). I mean, there are points where you have to kill everything in order for the game to continue, but in a lot of places simply tucking your tail between your legs and booking for the back door will get you out of battles, and quickly.

This is how hour long sci-fi TV shows are supposed to end, not games where you have hours invested!
1) At least it wasn't a dream.
2) At least it didn't end with a car race.
Me & three o' my buddies had a team deathmatch for the ages. 2 vs. 2. We were down 35-24 & staged the comeback of all-time. Won 50-48, spurred by my 3 successful 2-on-1 Rambo-style rushses. It's all about the John Woo SMGs, baby.

If I play on the same screen with my friend, he'll usually beat me. If we do the system link so we're playing in different rooms, I'll usually beat him.
We both agree that seperate rooms is the best.
Then we started playing 2 on 1. I got the extra guy... a newbie. Man, having a newbie is a major disadvantage. It's basically giving the other team a bunch of free kills. Eventually we figured out he was best hiding somewhere up high with a sniper rifle. He just had to dodge the occasional rocket, and I just had to chase the enemey out into the open.
I have a couple friend who work at a local college. They tell me that a lot of kids are failing, specifically because of all-night video gaming. It's some sort of campus epidemic.
