This is interesting. Suggests that liberal governmental and economic policies are, over time, inferior to conservative ones.

I would like to see added to the numbers, however, the impact all of the military base closings had on California... 15(?) years ago. That alone would probably account for at least 100k people in California's population decline (service members + their families).

If California had slid into the sea while I was there I'd have built a giant raft made from the hippies.

Added bonus, the dissipating oils from all the hippy body odor would keep sharks at bay.
