He took the car of being dead over the bridge into the water of brain cancer.

But at least he went in alone, this time.

It's a trend.

Michael somehow became a saint, instead of a dirty child molester.

But fuck, Thriller was good.

Oh, sorry, I may have been unclear.

He really did become a better Congressman. This is determined by using the traditional formula for scoundrels of any sort: "the only good X is a dead X".

Crooked even in death.
Sen. Edward M. Kennedy's death will unleash a quarter-century of pent-up political ambition among Democrats for Massachusetts's first open Senate seat since 1984.

"You're going to see a lot of jockeying for this seat," said Jennifer Duffy, who analyzes Senate races for the nonpartisan Cook Political Report in Washington.
Kennedy's Potential Successors

Under Massachusetts law, a special election to fill Mr. Kennedy's seat must take place between Jan. 18 and Feb. 2. Days before his death, Mr. Kennedy, who had served in the Senate since 1962, requested that the state's legislature—controlled by Democrats—pass an amendment that would allow Democratic Gov. Deval Patrick to appoint a temporary replacement. Lawmakers are debating the request.

Either way, the list of potential contenders is long. One possible candidate is Mr. Kennedy's nephew, Joseph P. Kennedy II, who served as a U.S. congressman between 1987 and 1999 and heads Citizens Energy Corp., a nonprofit that distributes heating oil to the poor.

The son of the late Robert F. Kennedy, Joseph Kennedy is "one of the most popular figures in Massachusetts," said David Paleologos, director of the Political Research Center at Suffolk University in Boston. In Suffolk's March poll of 400 likely voters in Massachusetts, 67% had a favorable view of him.

Guess what? Until 2004, THAT WAS THE LAW. The Mass legislature changed it to a special election because Kerry was running for President, and didn't want then governor-Romney to appoint a successor if he won.

Fuck you, Kennedy. And Massachusetts.

This is sick.

The left really needs to find a healthier way to worship their political heroes.

If there's a hell, Kennedy is in it.

Everytime I've heard him praised ever, not just the last few days, I always have immediately thought "He killed a woman and got away with it."

Why was it ok for O.J. to become the butt of everyone's jokes, but Kennedy is somehow a fucking hero?

The problems of our economy have occurred not as an outgrowth of laissez-faire, unbridled competition. They have occurred under the guidance of federal agencies, and under the umbrella of federal regulations.

- Senator Ted Kennedy (D-MA)

Apparently he helped deregulate the airlines and interstate trucking. I guess he "grew in office" since then.

I'm sure he was cynical and insincere about it when he said it.
