Google's latest flagship phone (made by LG).
* 4.8 oz. and 8.59mm
* 4.95” 1920x1080 display (445 ppi)
* Snapdragon™ 800, 2.26GHz processor
* 4G/LTE and Dualband Wi-Fi
* Android™ 4.4, KitKat®
* Wireless charging
Pros:
* Amazingly fast. Using chrome on this feels like using it on a desktop. The entire UI and phone is exceptionally responsive.
* Camera - Updated with latest software, great photos, very fast, low shutter lag, etc.
* 5Ghz Wireless -> Can use N like it is meant to be used.
* Amazing screen at 441ppi. My Note 2 was 720p on a 5.5" screen and I could sometimes tells the pixels. Cannot on this phone.
* Small/lightweight
* Android updates fast. None of this waiting for years/never getting a recent update bullshit.
Cons:
* Smaller screen (used to my Note 2)
* GPS - Slower to lock and less accurate than on my Note 2. Hope this is something that can be helped with software upgrades.
On a semi-related note, Google Now is awesome. It updates me on places I go regularly (directions, traffic, estimated travel time) without me doing anything. It pulls out sports scores and fantasy updates based on my search history. It automatically tracks packages for orders on my Gmail account. It notifies me of upcoming hotel reservations (with directions to the hotel, etc). Stock updates, etc. It's amazing.
Nexus 5
Actually, yeah. From time to time when I am GPSing somewhere through some faraway city, and I have to make a sudden destination change or something and can't type in a new route on my laptop which I prefer using for GPS for the big screen, I can pull my phone out of my breast pocket and jut say to it "Ok google now, navigate to *place*" and the phone wakes up, opens Navigation, plugs in the address, and within 10 seconds it is telling me when I should make my next turn without me pushing a button.TheCatt wrote:On a semi-related note, Google Now is awesome. Also good for quick google searches and whatnot.
I like it. It's google's answer to Siri.
"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
I do love this phone. It's amazingly fast, and screen is incredibly sharp. Just a nearly perfect modern phone.
I did send my first one back due to GPS locking issues, but the replacement has been flawless so far.
Note to future self: Maybe wait a couple of months before buying to avoid early production issues.

It's not me, it's someone else.
I still love this phone, almost 2 years later.
