Mostly I wanted to mention that I got a phone on Sunday because my Droid X2 was not holding a charge for more than 5 minutes of use and I needed a phone Monday morning. Was kind of in a hurry, I am not extremely picky about most things I buy, and the sales girl steered me to the Droid Ultra as a comparable replacement for my X2. Fine, good, done.
Later that evening I was googling how to reduce image resolution because I didn't need 10 megapixels for what I do most of the time, and the answer was, "For some reason you can't reduce resolution on this phone." And I also found out that this phone was about the worst in its class and price point, even though it was still pretty good.
But anyway, just wanted to comment on my 4G speed, which I now have for the first time: finally, I feel like I have broadband on my phone. 3G was comparable to the dialup I had in 1997. 4G up stream might be actually faster than the cable modem I have at home.
Also, the Android OS looks and feels a lot better than it did on the phone I bought 2 years ago. I think Google bought Motorola in that time and really improved the form of both the hardware and OS. There's more cool, and less clunk.
