I have 4 stove knobs for the burners that cost a lot new that I want to sell on ebay.

I want to sell them individually or all at once. I would provide a shipping discount if I am shipping them all at once.

Any way to do this on ebay? I have never sold on ebay. Trying to figure out seller accounts right now.

Yes, just make your quantity 4. Then, you can do something with the shipping terms.

I think you can only do multiple quantities if they are fixed price, though.

I did a "basic seller" ad that didn't have any additional fees. I didn't see a quantity option with that.

You used to be able to do multiple quantities with non-fixed prices. It was called a Dutch Auction, but they killed it in 2009. Which is a shame, I really liked those.

But for future reference, here's how to list multiple items in one fixed price listing: http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/multiple.html

When have you ever liked anything the Dutch did?

Never used a cast iron dutch oven to make cornbread over (well, technically in) a campfire? Them's some good eats right there.

It's pretty much standard practice that when someone wins an auction they pay up THEN the seller ships, right?

Indeed. If they are trying to get you to ship without payment it's because they are trying to scam you.

Under the circumstances, be sure to ship with a method that provide proof of shipment. It sounds like they might try to reverse the payment on you later.

So what's this all about? I thought they made their money from people buying listings with extra features.
Your eBay invoice for the period from May 1, 2011 through May 31, 2011 is now available to view online.

There are 2 fees that pretty much everyone pays:
1) Listing fee (usually pretty low)
2) Final value fee (if your item sells, a % of the cost of that item + a small fixed fee)

You thought ebay was free?!?!? Ebay gets their cut, and paypal will take theirs as well. Selling on ebay is expensive.

Seems a little steep to sell something for six bucks and then lose 18 % of it to ebay.
