This weekend my hotmail account's junk mail folder started filling up with "bounces." You know, notifications that I've sent undeliverable mail. I wonder if some jackass spammer is using my address as his reply-to.

Anybody ever encounter this, and if so, is it bad news and how do I fix it?

Yeah, it happens. Nothing you can do about it, really, other than tracking down the spammer and killing him.

Someone started doing this with my domain a while ago. I routed all my catch-all email through Gmail, and its filters killed them.
It's not me, it's someone else.

It's not bad news. Someone's just faking the email address.

I just was thinking that occasionally spammers get arrested. I figured The Authorities had the brains to arrest the actual guy who sent the email, not the poor schlub whose name is in the "reply-to" field. But trusting The Authorities to know their rectum from a hole in the ground is not a safe bet these days.

They do.

The only downside is that sometimes domains will be flagged as spam senders even though they are not by certain black lists.
