(wikipedia)The story is about a physicist who is kidnapped and sent to a parallel universe in which another version of his life unfolds because of a different choice he made fifteen years prior. The book draws on the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics which posits that every possible outcome of every event creates a new universe or world that runs parallel to our own.[1][2]
I've read a lot of Blake Crouch's books. The best parts of his book are generally the premise (often a sci-fi setup like this book, Recursion, and Upgrade), and the execution in the 2nd half falters as they go back to some kind of technothriller vibe.
Definitely worth a read, imho. Apple+ recently released a series (1 season, but renewed for a second) based on the book, that my wife and I are watching (2 episodes left). It's solid, but drags a bit in the middle, not as tight as the book.
