That was stupid. The adrenaline gets you though. Makes you think more time has passed than actually has. Always a good idea to use a watch and time yourself before you go looking. I waited 10 minutes after getting out of the stand to find the buck I got with the crossbow last year. I'd probably wait 20-30 minutes on a bear.

I'd go home, eat dinner, watch some TV, sleep overnight, get the kids ready for school, take the day off, more dinner/tv/sleep with the wife, sleep another night, then come back.

Agreed. To be honest, I don't think I'd be bow hunting bear.

Heh... I'd think the sudden velocity change when launching would set it off. Still would rather take my chance with that than the bear.
