I tried Firefox 1.0x when it came out, and found it crappy crappy slow.

I've since tried it again when 1.5x came out, and I'm impressed. It's still a little choppy compared to IE when navigating some sites, but the speed has improved a lot. With the native-tabbed browsing, easy plug-ins, etc, it kicks IE's ass.

It's now my browser of choice.

Ditto on what Catt said. I didn't like it at first either, but the tabbed browsing is fantastic. It keeps your taskbar clean and easily hides pron.

I fully expect MS will rip off this feature before the year is out.

Well, fuck me.

I hate those fucking tabs with a passion.

Why? It's really nice for sites like slickdeals.net, or fark.com where you open a lot of children window, and want to keep em separate from other browsing.

If I can't alt-tab to it, I'm not interested.

I avoid mouse use as much as possible.

You never hear of ctrl-tab or ctrl-pageup/ctrl-pagedown?

Nope, what do those do? That some sort of fancy gui mojo?

Why can't I just have a simple shell prompt anymore? I miss Dos 2.0. *sigh*

ctrl-tab is like alt-tab, but within a single, multi-document application. liked a tabbed browser. or word. or excel.

Bah. You kids have it too easy. Back in my day we could only run one application at a time AND WE LIKED IT.
