I'm considering working heavily on my learning skills before seriously taking on any other groups. It looks like it would cut down HUGE on the IV-V training on most shit. +5 int already & +5 mem is only a couple days away. Figure I can run enough easy lvl. IIs to get eidetic mem & logic, then work percep & will.

If you got +5 int, get Logic up to +3, then get +5 mem.

I'm spending the next month or so maxing out my Learning skills, too. I figure it'll be well worth the time later on.

I don't know about maxing out, but I'll be getting my advanced mem/int to +4

+5 adv mem/int/learning dont seem to have a done of payback cept for a long time from now. And 2 weeks of battleship-having has more immediate payback.

The skills thread at eve-online.com claims to have the exact formula for skill time. & yeah, it appears that +1 int/mem doesn't make much difference for one skill. But considering that entire branches of the skill tree use the same attributes for primary/secondary, the algorithmic theorist in me is pushing me onwards to that maxed out int/mem/learning combo before maxing out the other learning skills. If you can jack up the attributes to maximum, the results end up being impressive w.r.t. the amount of time you save even hitting up a few skill branches heavily (which you will anyhow).

In fact, hell, given your initial int/mem attributes & your learning skill level, I could just brute force the solution to the most efficient path thru the int/mem/learning skill boosting process if anyone cares.

Sadly, smarter than I am. But I drive a bigger boat.

Mem 5 is tomorrow, so EM +3 is tomorrow as well.

Login into the eve site and go to 'My Character'. Click on the 'XML' link for your character. Once it's up, do 'File, Save' and save to a file. Email that file to taran_tkv@yahoo.com. I'll post it from there. If it's not too hard or a security risk or what ever, maybe Gordon can make the directory I'm dumping these files into available for FTP transfers, and then people can upload them at will. But till then, just email it to me and I can transfer it in no time.

Learning skills do indeed rock.

Pumping up my INT from Level 2 of the Rank 1 skill to Level 3 of the Rank 2 skill has cut my training time on some things by two whole days. Woot.

If peeps could try http://mdc.dyndns.org:8081/eveonline/default.aspx tonight, I'd apprecaite it.

1) Use the first browse/upload buttons.
2) There will be no UI confirmation of anything happening, unless there is an error.
