DOOM Trailer

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

I agree with Malcolm too.

A Lara Croft movie would suck because those games were boring. There was no dialogue and barely any story. It was just an interesting character fighting animals and climbing rocks. That's why Hollywood had to add a story.

How about looking at games that would make good movies? You know, ones with actual plots:
-Splinter Cell
-Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
-Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
-Half-Life + its expansion packs
-Half-Life 2 (This would be even better than 1 as the game was like playing a movie)
-DOOM 3
-Halo
-Halo 2
-Grand Theft Auto III
-Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
-Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
-Dungeon Siege
-Fable
-The Ultima series
-Resident Evil
-Resident Evil 2
-Resident Evil: Nemesis
-Resident Evil 3
-Resident Evil 4
-Silent Hill
-Max Payne
-Max Payne 2
-Sam & Max Hit the Road
-Maniac Mansion
-Day of the Tentacle
-Grim Fandango
-The Longest Journey
-Baldur's Gate
-Neverwinter Nights
-The C&C series
-The Warcraft series
-Autoduel
-Syndicate
-Legend of Zelda series
-Skies of Arcadia
-etc., etc., etc., etc.

(I listed the RE series even though movies have been made with that name as they didn't stick to the storyline, which is better than the ones used in the movies.)

That list could go on for quite some time. All those games have established storylines and characters that would only need some filling here and there to be brought to the big screen.

Unfortunately, like every other existing property on the planet, Hollywood thinks they can make them even better.

Freudian slip.
