THIS is how symphonic metal covers should be done. Every "symphonic metal" album I have ever heard is mainly just the band throwing a symphony in the background, but no one wants to turn down their guitars and shit so you can actually hear if the symphony is interweaving the notes or whatever/fuck you for judging me.

I am talking about traditionally metal bands that, for a change of pace, redo their own shit but with some strings in there, but don't actually re-score the music to bring out the actual orchestra, it just becomes background mood shit that gets drowned out. Nightwish is a good example of a metal band that incorporates the strings and shit right at composition time. Metallica, Kiss, and whoever else put out "symphonic" albums... fail.

Thaikkudam Bridge succeeds.

I think my fave Metallica songs are the ones without Lars, heh.
