MS makes me think seriously about Linux.

MS reorgs again. They seem worried. Maybe finally feeling the XBone and tile UI blowback.
"Going forward, our strategy will focus on creating a family of devices and services for individuals and businesses that empower people around the globe at home, at work and on the go, for the activities they value most," Ballmer wrote in a memo to Microsoft's employees Thursday.

If that platitude had a colour, it would be beige.

But wait, the crazy doesn't stop at the CEO level. Others have apparently found the koolaid reservoir from which Ballmer sips.
Microsoft is promising major innovations in the coming months. During a keynote presentation at the company's Worldwide Partner Conference on Wednesday, COO Kevin Turner told the 15,000 attendees that Microsoft is all about pumping out innovations.

"If you bet on Microsoft, you are not going to ask anymore, 'Hey, where is the innovation?' The challenge going forward is how do we keep up with it," Turner said. The COO also said that Microsoft is delivering innovation faster than anyone can embrace it, and that the company's new fiscal year, which began July 1, will be the biggest year of innovation in its 38-year history.

That's right. Embrace the tiles, goddamnit. Embrace kinect, always on, and getting charged exorbitant rates for XBone network services.

I presume that was followed with:
"We're innovating so fucking fast, even we don't know what we're producing until we finish making it. Windows 8 started out as a USB flashlight, and then BAM, INNOVATION, MOTHERFUCKERS! WOOOOOOO!!!"

The case for booting Ballmer.
The laundry list of failures under Steve Ballmer is the stuff of legend. Microsoft tent pole products Windows, Office, and Internet Explorer have all lost marketshare as attempts at the tablet, smartphone, and music player markets have all failed. In thirteen years Ballmer has one major success to his credit, the rise of the Xbox gaming platform, but even that success is tempered by a botched Xbox One launch and the departure of the Xbox team leader from the company.

I simply do not know how the fuck that dude stays employed. He must know where Bill and the former execs hid the bodies.
