Ok, first off, I hated that they made the Brothers look like bumbling fools who only accomplished anything because they set it up themselves. My wife said it felt very VanHelsing, but I disagree. I wanted the two of them to really kick some ass when push came to shove, but instead, the only people they were able to really defeat were each other.
Also, I've been trying to put into words why exactly all the fairy tale references just weren't as funny as they were in Shrek. At first I thought it was Paradigm, but then, they never really broke much unless they were in the forest. And what the hell was up with the gingerbread man reference? That was some real crap.
And WTF happened in the end? All that sappy BS about true love's kiss to break the spell and everything (and yes, I got the Sleeping Beauty reference), then in the end she gives them both a quick peck and tells them they're welcome back anytime? After which, she runs off with her sisters? Heath's character should have got the girl, plain and simple.
