Is anyone else able to update firefox by clicking the red arrow update icon in the upper right corner of their bowser?

Everytime I do it I just sits at the Now downloading and Installing Updates window.

That happens when I try updating Macromedia stuff.

I have an issue with Macromedia also and quicktime(not always though).

I like Firefox because the pop up blocker works real well but you would think that their auto update system would work a bit better.

If when updating I need to check the "Allow browser to install programs?" box, in settings?

You do.

I just did that and it worked fine.

The least they could do is give you a message telling you that is the problem.

I'm having probs with Firefox that I hoped this last updatewould have fixed. It didn't.

It always happens on this forum, as opposed to other forums and websites.

Basically, when I post it locks up Firefox. I can click the X and close Firefox fine, but I can't go to any web pages.

When I reopen Firefox I'm told that the profile is in use, and if I try to delete the parent.lock I'm unable to do so because it's being used.

A CRTL+ALT+DEL didn't show Firefox as a running application.

I used to just reboot to fix the problem, but now I figured out that it's still running as a process. I end that, and I can get back in.

Creating a new account works as well, but it doesn't carry-over all my shizzle.

Thing I like best about Firefox?

Unlike IE, it remembers the little custom icons next to the URL, when you bookmark it. I could never understand how IE could screw up something so simple.
