Bruce Cambell

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I remember seeing a movie with Bruce as a kind of guest star as an Asshole usher... It slipped my mind entirely as to what movie it was though, does anyone remember?

IMDB lists him as "Snooty usher".

Now, what's up with the following IMDB listing?
1. Evil Dead: Regeneration (2005) (VG) (pre-production) (voice) .... Ash

If you search the forums you'll find something about this.

If I remember correctly, they're remaking Evil Dead 2. Or more appropriately, they're remaking Evil Dead for the third time.

Evild Dead: Regenetation

It's a video game. Fist Full of Boomstick was playable. Maybe this will be as well?

Evil Dead Regeneration follows Ash, the lone survivor of a camp discovering the Necronomicon -- the wholly evil book of the dead. Thought to have murdered his companions, Ash is arrested, convicted of the crime, and sentenced to Sunny Meadows, an institute for the criminally insane, but not for long. Ash's peaceful stay is about to end -- thanks to the perverted experiments of his very own psychiatrist, Dr. Vingo. Hell-bent on using science to harness the Necronomicon's powers, the mad doctor unleashes the book's all-powerful Evil on the world -- releasing a new slew of Deadites, monsters and spirits, twisting reality into a hellish strudel and leaving mankind with that not-so-fresh apocalyptic feeling.

It's just too bad for Vingo that the judge gave Ash a straightjacket instead of the needle.

Two things:

1. The last Evil Dead game sucked.

2. There really is another movie rumored to be in the works that we've discussed here before.

Hail to the King (2001) or Fistful of of Boomstick (2003)?

There have been Evil Dead III rumors since Army of Darkness. I don't think it'll come about any time soon.

No, not just rumors started by fanboys, but actual discussion by Sam Raimi and Bruce. If I remember they were even working on or already had a script.

Like I said, this wasn't wishful thinking, this was an article on ign or something like that with quotes from Sam and Bruce on the subject.

Army of Darkness was Evil Dead III. Evil Dead IV will be the newest film.

Paul, you are officially a cock knocker.

Here you are debating against me about the existence of plans to do another ED movie while as it turns out you created the original thread about it.

Dang it! I even typed IV, but deleted it to put III. I must be on Unkbill's stuff.

Oh, and even though I posted that, that doesn't mean I believe it will come into fruition (any time soon). I mean, I *hope* it does. I just forsee a lot of crap getting in the way and it not being put out until at least 2010.

From here:
Bruce Talks Evil Dead Remakes/Sequels & Bubba 2 [3.7.05]
In a recent lengthy interview with The Beat, Bruce talks about the Evil Dead remake, Evil Dead 4, and Bubba Ho-Tep 2:

On the "Evil Dead" remake: "We're going to do the remake and none of us feel bad about it because it's our own remake. We're not getting some 1970's TV show out of Aaron Spelling's file draw and making a movie. This is our own movie. So we're gonna update it for a new generation with new effects and tell a new story with a new cast. We'll be pulling the strings from behind. And hopefully they'll like it. I don't know when it will come about. It'll take a while to find a director and to write it and get it all set but it's gonna be made."

On the "Evil Dead" sequel: "Everybody wants to make it. I do, Sam does, Rob Tapert does, so that's not an issue. The only issue is that this guy happens to have stumbled into a phenomenon. So until that dies down he won't have time. And really... there's no more mystery. That's it. There's nothing beyond that. It really is that simple. To tell the guy who made Spider-man to stop so he can make Evil Dead 4... it doesn't compute."

On the "Bubba Ho-tep" sequel: "It's being actively pursued by two companies. That will probably happen. Don't know when. There will be a bit of prequel and bit of a sequel at the same time. There may be some parallel story elements."
