Borderlands 2
If any of you guys follow twitter, Randy Pitchford (@DuvalMagic) from gearbox is giving away Shift codes that are good for a free gold key, there are different codes for each platform.
Be aware that these are time sensitive and the codes are only good for 2 hours at a time. He just posted some codes that will be good from 2pm till 4pm EST. Kinda sucks since most of us are at work. But he did say there is a good chance that more codes will be made available this evening, so be on the lookout.
I have read on the forums that he has done this a few times and they have had mixed results cause the "Shift" system is still getting all the bugs out. But im reading that this is something they wanna be able to implement more in the future too. So if you don't already have one, might as well make a twitter account and follow this guy for some free shit.

when you're in the main menu of the game you go to extras or something and there is a "Shift" signup. Basically you just put your e-mail address in and you're linked up. I did it when i first got the game so i can't be sure exactly what area of the menu its under. but if you look around you will find it.
Basically you just need to have a Shift account and then when you get the code you enter it ingame. But like i said earlier, its definetly a work in process as Gearbox is working out all the kinks. But Randy Pitchford has mentioned bigger and better things through the Shift codes when its up and running correctly.

im not really sure what the purpose is. Im guessing a way to give stuff away for promotions. Cause when i signed up originally i got a second gold key, and i believe Leisher said he did too. It's a bit confusing to everybody right now. But hey, if they are gonna give free stuff away, im in.

Isn't that how the Joker took out all those people in Gotham during a parade a couple decades ago?Stranger wrote:im not really sure what the purpose is. WORLD CHAMPIONS!!
When I first starting writing this post, I was kind of hating Gaige. As I started to read the skill descriptions, I've changed my opinion. She looks extremely promising, provided you think you can manage your combat stats beyond just gun choice and making sure you have enough ammo.
Best Friends Forever skill tree: boost Deathtrap. Makes sense.
Little Big Trouble skill tree: assloads of elemental damage/resist bonuses, plus more Deathtrap abilities. Alright, let's see about that third one.
Order Chaos skill tree: This has to be the "achievement/skill-based" tree I read about. There's a couple Deathtrap skills, but what's with these fucking anarchy and discord stacks? Why do 75% of the "skills" in this tree seem to leech from one ability and give to another?
Killing an enemy boosts my shield, but hurts my health? Wtf?
Anarchy stacks boost gun damage, but hurt accuracy. It's switched on by killing something, totally drained to zero once you reload before fully emptying a mag?
Discord is activated by reloading before your mag is empty? Boosts accuracy and fire rate. Alright, semi-interesting.
The midair jump shot that causes explosions? That's like pogo'ing with an automatic weapon, I guess.
A health leech melee attack that depends on anarchy and how low your remaining health is? Weird.
As the tree suggests, this is a seemingly random pile of crap boost/nerf give and take skills. But, with a bit of strategy, I could see it being a kill machine.
Anarchy: I suppose this'd be useful if Deathtrap is distracting a boss. You can unload on him at point blank while DT takes the heat. It has the effect of shotgun-ifying anything you're shooting. Guess it might be useful if you're zerg swarmed, too.
Discord: You get to boost either damage (anarchy) or you can go accuracy and rapid fire (discord).
Point blank fighting:
Health leech melee attack makes the "enemy kill = shield boost + health nerf" skill from earlier more interesting. You'll be losing shields, losing health, and killing things. Killing things means losing health (though not fatally I bet), gaining shields (which means your shield regen goes down dramatically), and then you can melee for more health based upon how little you have currently. You survive by killing in terms of volume to keep shields charged. This can be augmented either with the elemental damage tree or DT-boost tree. I guess you can jump around like a ping-pong ball and cause explosions with anarchy, too.
Distance fighting:
Sit back, use elemental damage and DT to kill everything.

The first of the four scheduled DLC's is coming out on the Oct. 16!! it includes,
-A new rarity/quality level for gear, “Seraph.” (There’s already: white, green, blue, purple, orange… and eTech (magenta)
-A Seraph Vendor who sells top-level gear, but only accepts Seraph crystals as payment
-A new hovercraft vehicle (and enemy hovercraft vehicles as well).
-New weapons to include: Rockets, Saws and Harpoons.
-A boss with a raid lockout whereby the boss is locked if one or more players have slain the boss already that day.
Lots of stuff for the first DLC. No mention on a level cap increase yet...

No, the premier club was only for the people that preordered the game. What you want is the season pass, you get all four of the DLC's as they come out for the price of three, ($30). I believe this deal will be ongoing and even after all four DLC's have been released you could still buy the season pass and get all four of them for cheaper than buying them individually. But this is just speculation so if you do plan on getting all DLC's then better buy them soon. I am.
