I've used Network Solutions and Go Daddy.

Network Solutions was more expensive. Not really sure why or what they brought to the table that Go Daddy didn't, so I switched.

I use 1and1, since I also use it for web hosting. Reasonable rates, and they include privacy options (not having to list your real info on your domain) automatically. Many registrars charge extra.

My buddy's done lots of dink website design for folk. He uses Go Daddy almost exclusively, I think.

Used to be 1&1, but when I switched to Hostgator for hosting I also switch to GoDaddy.
