Can anyone recommend software that will let me surf anonymously?

Probably have to use one of those anonymous web surfing proxy servers.

To elaborate on Thib's comment. There are a bunch of free proxies that mask your IP address. They basically go to the website for you, then relay the info back to you. The webhost only knows it's sending info to the proxy, and has no idea whom the proxy is forwarding the data to.

MegaProxy.com has a free section with limited access. I use it to test DNS issues. It is limited though, so things like cookies probably don't work.

Guardster.com seems to have a free one. I haven't tried it though.

Unipeak appears to have one.

Just do a Google and you'll find many many more... you phreak.

My question is what do you want it for?
It's not me, it's someone else.

I say he wants to go to post messages in certain places, but doesn't want to be tracked.
